A new year

I want to finish this year fantastically, comfortable and not expensive at all, I want to save enough to have a lot of fun this next days and I didn't feel the need to buy another dress for New Years Eve. So I just simply put together my favorite garments that I consider to be perfect for such a day without losing any glamour and comfortability with the proper characteristics such as: sequins, height on my feet, glamour on the lenght and black which has been my best friend this 2012.

Hometown

I'm back to my hometown and the weather received me gladly. I love cold, layers, knits and everything that has to do with adding more garments to my outfits, I never like to saturate them though.

One of my favorite items that it has to be on my closet -and yours- is an oversized sweater, in this case in a deep and rich color like teal, I find it perfect for many occasions, it's great even for laying around on a sofa watching movies, something that I'm doing a lot lately.

Almost Christmas and I'm still wearing shorts and light clothes. Maybe you could feel envy but I really want to wear my coats and jackets. This simple outfit was perfect for some last minute gift shopping.  Tomorrow I'm leaving to my hometown and seems like it's freezing over there.

By the way, do you like my sweater? I think it's a perfect DIY for this holidays, take a knit that you already have and sew some pearls or rhinestones. Super easy and comfy.

December is for me, aside from the holidays and vacations, the beginning of the winter and the richness of the colors, because in my country autumn is pretty warm we don't usually use winter clothes until almost the end of the year, and you start to see runways on the streets of thigh high boots, layers with different and rich textures like knits, leathers and other kinds of finishes like the metallics that are starring this month's Vogue Mexico.

It also means that we can enjoy the delicious holidays food without fearing that the extra pounds are going to show that much (but as soon as the new year begins, we should start to eat well again!)

Center of the city with Sofía

I'll start this post by saying that I'm leaving Guadalajara momentaneously and I'm so happy that I met awesome people like the blogger Sofía from My Philosophie. We agreed that we needed to take some photos before I leave and we choose leather as our main theme, our creative idea was as simple as that without any extra details. It was a completely surprise to see that we both chose really similar outfits, as if it was planned, not only we love the same trends and shops, but we also had a lot of fun.

I'm a total fan of my skirts and shorts, but the weather is already getting too cold for them and nothing better to recover the habit of wearing pants than with a pair of blue jeans. And just like Lana Del Rey's song, I borrowed this t-shirt from my friend starring the handsome James Dean; for some reason I find guy's t-shirts very attractive, maybe because they're comfortable and it feels like they go with everything.

Leather. It's not a surprise that I love it when the blog's title is obvious, but I'm so in love with the trends and the mix of textures that leather adds to autumn and winter. I consider myself lucky because my city's weather allows me to wear really short skirt without freezing, but it's also pleasant enough to wear them with sweatshirts. I won't lie, I like this weather but I cannot wait to wear my skirts with cozy tights.

It's finally December and we're close to many kind of parties for the holidays regardless of your religion or beliefs, it's definitely a month to have fun and especially to dress amazing! In my case I have many occasions that aren't completely formal but I still want to turn heads and it also should look like I didn't make a great effort.

In this outfit I'm wearing an oversized sequined jumper, combined with a pair of unique platforms and minimum accesories. It's definitely a combination that I'll be using a lot, maybe the next time with an statement necklace instead of sequins.
