Contrast my mind

Photos by Mariana Campos

Basic long silhouette, red touches and a sleek pony tail for an elegant and sophisticated look, I don't think you need anything else. No statement necklace or layers and absolutely no need for a lot of make-up, the red lipstick meets all the expectations and it's compact to carry in your bag.

I wore this for a Mazda fashion event and because I needed to take pictures I used my big bag so I could carry everything and be more comfortable, if not I would have opted for a small clutch.

Red shoes

ZARA pointy ankle strap heels

OASAP  toecap patent heels

The red shoe has a very clear connotation of sensuality, feminity and boldness, with a classic and flattering design it's able to complete any outfit and it's also permitted with a full black outfit (for me, it works like a red lipstick). However, it's a little bit funny how despite of knowing all that I still had not a single pair of red shoes. I felt so bad that I ended up with two pairs, both versatile and with their own trend.

Golden gates

Photos by Mariana Campos

On the contrary to what many of you imagine, I'm not a wonder woman and neither I'm on heels all the time, now that I've been living without a car is even harder to wear heels everyday (and when I do, I take my flats in my purse). So here you have a super chic, elegant, simple and comfortable outfit, it could look pretty boring from the back without the open back detail and this time I didn't wear any watches or bracelets because they can ruin your knits (and nobody likes that).

Nature tones

Photos by Mariana Campos
A big part of what I like about fashion is to find the versatility of clothes. I love those moments when you're shopping and have the challenge to buy or not to buy that outstanding piece that fits you like a glove but you don't know how wearable it is and how much are you actually going to wear it.

This skirt is actually my roomie's, I was in love with it and I borrowed it to find a more casual (yet, chic) way of using it. I loved so much the result that I also bought the same skirt in black.

Color pop

Photos by Mariana Campos

I always feel the urge to wear my heels so the outfit is complete; they add height, posture and they're the cherry on top for any outfit. This occasion I decided to rest my feet after a long weekend and wore my comfy and vibrant sequined loafers.

A simple and monochromatic outfit with a pop of color.

Trends part II

Photos by Mariana Campos

How many trends do you like? I usually never like to mix and match a lot of trends but this outfit came out spontaneously. I really love how the burgundy stands out and the easiness of the t-shirt. Elegant from the waist down and pretty casual at the top.

El movimiento del color

Photo and graphic design by Danh Lastra

This is the result of the photoshoot we had for our university project. We wanted photos with lots of movement and a touch of color. From all the photos we took this was the best one and honestly, even if we didn't have enough time for styling and the photos, it was pretty fun to count to three and jump every time a shot was made.

The first one

Photos by Danh Lastra

I haven't been so excited about a post for a long time. It's been a really hard week full of work and school but something really good came out of the chaos: this outfit. We originally took it for a magazine spread and I decided to show you this outfit here.

Plaid, like denim, is a texture that can easily look bad without the proper silhouette or the right pieces, so I chose a classy and feminine skater skirt and an oxblood doctor bag for a more sophisticated look. Needless to say both garments are pretty versatile and wearable for any season, but because of the shirt's rich colors I think this is a perfect outfit to say "hello" to November.
