Between two seasons

Photos by Mariana Campos

It's hard to know what to wear lately. It's almost November and the days are still pretty hot to wear jackets and those delightful autumn garments full of rich textures and coziness. Well, I'm trying to slowly incorporate not only warmer pieces, but simple and out of the ordinary, like this bright and chic skirt with a loose and plain sweatshirt, nothing fancy yet not simple.

Forest and leather

Photos by Mariana Campos

Same trend yet different silhouette. This skirt is going to be one of my favorite garments this season indeed, and this outfit is a perfect example of how you can incorporate simple and basic pieces like a tank top and a pair of booties for a killer outfit, just don't forget an amazing accesory and a great fitting garment.

Absent

MOTEL ROCKS magazine t-shirt, STORETS sequined clutch, ROMWE pleated faux leather skirt, WINDSOR FASHIONS clutch with rivets, ZARA heels & booties.

I know I have been quite absent, I haven't been able to organize my days and my head is full of new things I want to show you. One of my fashion obsessions is, as you know well, leather and I couldn't be happier to see it everywhere for this and next year seasons, but is that enough to justify the fact that I already have four leather skirts in my closet? Maybe.

Tal vez.

Royal

Photos by Mariana Campos

Simple pieces that fit you like a glove are garments we all should appreciate in our closets, especially when they're versatile and inexpensive. I don't know if you already noticed it, but this is the third time I make an outfit with this crochet top (for the blog, for everyday I've used it a lot) and all of them are totally different; this kind of pieces is what I'm talking about (this skirt too, I can imaginate it in so many outfits).

Touch of spring

Photos by Mariana Campos

Just like spring days, autumn feels perfect in so many ways, it's a weather that invites you for a walk, an ice-cream for mid-day and a coffee at night. Because of that, I wanted to use a strong spring trend for next year: geometric prints. I'm still not sure about the way I coordinated it but it was perfect for the weather.

Easy DIY: Dyed heels

Okay so this isn't a unique DIY but I find it really useful to refurbish your old shoes. This are my roomie's shoes which aren't old but because of the rain and the material of it they got damaged quite soon. The shoes are synthetic and made of PU with a suede-like texture.

We used a dark color so the damage wasn't as noticiable (and they're easy to maintain), but she didn't want them black so we used navy.

Bauhaus

Photos by Mariana Campos

Talking about transitions, some days are just plain hot. You cannot imagine my urge to rock a coat but it's still impossible to wear it over here, instead of that, I choose a fresh vest with denim shorts and my friend's favorite t-shirt (mine too!) which I borrowed for a few days.

Tell me that summer is over

Photos by Mariana Campos

Hopefully one of my latest summer outfits. Mornings and nights are already a little cold and that makes me so happy because there are jackets and knits waiting anxiously for me.

My idea of transition between two seasons is the combination of soft textures with hard ones, in this case, a chiffon dress with a vegan leather jacket. I think I'll continue to use this combination for a few weeks, while there's still some heat.

New in: Baroque details

A minimalist baroque. I was sleeping deeply after a night without sleep because of school when the postman surprised me with a big package from Windsor Fashions, and I got this gorgeous pieces.

How am I going to wear the shoes? I still don't know! They're so unique that I just had to have them no matter what. Baroque is one of my favorite periods but I only like to see the clothes, so maybe I'll pull off a simple outfit and the shoes will be the main focus. Less is always more.

Militarize it

Photos by Mariana Campos

Still without enough courage to wear camouflage, or more likely I feel like it doesn't fit me completely, yet I love the military trend so instead of camouflage I chose the chic side of militar with this structured jacket. The navy pants (which I found on a departamental store on sale) make a great contrast.

Splash

Photos by Mariana Campos

I haven't felt so colorful in a long time. I was able to pull off this outfit for a pool party at Chapala (great, amazing party!), I usually wear black and denim to those kind of places but since summer is over this was actually my last chance to wear a splash of colors, a big bag for my towel, sunscreen, camera and the final touch with wonder woman bangles.

This bustier is fantastic, don't you think?
