Dolores Haze inspiration

Dolores Haze, known as Lolita or Lo from Vladimir Nabokov's masterpiece book "Lolita" is my inspiration for this Halloween. With her diabolic innocence, I find her the perfect girl for my daily inspiration. Not a girl yet not a woman is a concept I'm in love with, and if I have a baby face then maybe I should exploit this idea a little bit more. 

You can clearly see how the Lolita concept and style is an inspiration for many brands, such as Miu Miu, Chanel and Christopher Kane, just to name a few.

I wish I had 30 hours in my days! I haven't been posting as much as I usually do because of school/work/social service and maybe I don't wanna say it but I do feel a little bit down lately.  I think I need to go shopping.

But finally I'm loving the weather, it's just the perfect temperature for anything you want to wear (well, almost anything :P) and putting on a cardigan or jacket is just as comfortable as wearing a simple chiffon blouse.  I paired my mom's F21 red jacket with my Becky Bloomwood's Wardrobe cream blouse and my faux leather shorts to break a little bit with the softness. I wish this weather would last longer.

Yesterday I went to the mall with a friend and I fell in love with a few items, he kept telling me I couldn't spend any money and we ended up eating the most delicious ice-cream ever. At least I didn't get depressed.

Saving up

Are you the kind of person who loves to go shopping right away after receiving a payment? Well, I am, and lately I've been struggling with savings. To keep the money in the bank and never touch it is what works better for me than anything else. But it's so hard! so many sales everywhere and I just keep thinking of the possible Barcelona trip so I don't spend the money on a new pair of shoes.

Well, the good part is that if I don't make the trip at the end, I always can spend the money on whatever I want. I just hope the sales are still going on!

(btw, I hate starbucks and this is the worst coffee I've ever drank)

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to win a giveaway from Becky's Bloomwood's Wardrobe and I got this amazing blazer.  You know how much I love neutral colors and this is absolutely perfect for my city's weather because it's so light.  The store sells many cute and vintage pieces, don't forget to check them out!

Roman - Housse de Racket

My solution to incorporate trends into my style is to mix them with classic and ageless pieces that never go out of style. In this case is a shirt my mom had for ages in her closet and I must say it's a keeper for me because the cut is flattering, the color is pretty versatile and you can wear it with so many different clothing. The first time I wore it, I was thinking of buying my own and just using this one for a couple of times, but sorry mom, I think this shirt is definitely changing closet.

Grocery shopping

I went grocery shopping with my boyfriend today. I was so happy to see how much we have improved our healthy selections compared to a pair of years ago (we used to eat lots of meat and junk food!).

One thing I love the most, is to buy frozen berries and divide the bag into 1 cup portions so it's easy to eat them in smooties, fruit salads and even with some ice-cream! I can't wait to eat more ♡

My second entry for the MANGO It Girl contest. There's a lot in mind in this outfit, because I only have one clothing piece from MANGO, so I had to be creative. Then I remembered I had this piece of fabric from a dress I cut and remembered the Miu Miu 2010 SS prints and the amazing collars, so I made this one just a moment before my boyfriend took the pictures. I'm very proud of it! I want to make more because they really give an interesting point to most outfits, maybe with pearls or homemade prints? Sometimes I wonder why I didn't chose Fashion Design instead of Graphic.

Busy

I have been quite busy lately, lots of homework and things to finish. 

The weather is finally changing, I love the cold wind and the movement of the clothes, but I hate the fact that I have to get up very early when I'm so cozy and comfortable under my bedsheets. And sometimes I feel jealous of my cat because she can sleep and rest all day while I work like a zombie.

One of my favorite pieces from my wardrobe is this MANGO skirt which I was able to buy when I visited Guadalajara, Mexico. The store captivated me, the clothes even more and the employees were very friendly. I knew I had to buy something that I could use all year and I could easily make an outfit, so I chose this beige long pleated skirt perfect for my style, elegant yet versatile.
